Amazing Story of Creation

In the beginning

The book of Genesis in the bible is widely known as the book of creation capturing the story of how creation came to be, particularly in the first chapter.

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” – Genesis 1 vs 1 (NKJV)

This verse of scripture demystifies ancient mythology and ideologies surrounding the creation, it clarifies without ambiguity that at the beginning of creation is God who made all things.

It is quite instructive also that as believers we have God at the beginning of all things we need to embark on; it could be a program, a project, an assignment, a mission, a journey, etc. Having God at the beginning of all things assures us of success that our God never fails; He has all the power, and He can do all things.

If you are already in a journey, mission, program, project, or assignment and God is not an integral part, I can assure you that the best success you can have will only bring you emptiness and dissatisfaction; Only in God can you find true fulfillment and satisfaction.

I implore you to accommodate God in your life and your endeavors, this will make your life more meaningful because having Him in your life means you can always receive instructions, guidance, and help from him throughout your journey in life.

“The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters” – Genesis 1 vs 2 (NKJV)

This verse describes the hopelessness before creation – no form, emptiness, darkness, unending depth of confusion, no meaning, no aim, no purpose, etc. These descriptions were ascribed to the situation of the earth before creation; life has no meaning, nothing is working, no hope, everything looks gloomy, and doom seems to be around the corner. Thence, without God stepping into one’s life, there will be a sense of neglect and abandonment by all, the odds seem to always be against them in their health, marriage, career, business, and every other aspect of life that you can imagine.

I have good news for you, the verse scripture did not end before mentioning that God moved – “… And the Spirit of God moved…” – Genesis 1 vs 2 (NKJV). Whenever the Spirit of God moves, deadness turns to life, hopelessness turns to hope, emptiness turns to fulness, and sadness turns to Joy. All you need in your dark moments is to not quit or give up, rather you need God to move in your direction. I pray for anyone reading this that whatever has plagued your life up till this moment will give way for the move of God today in Jesus name, Amen.

“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light” – Genesis 1 vs 3 (NKJV)

The word of God is powerful; in fact, it is an authority. Whatsoever has been spoken by anyone, any authority, any principality loses relevance at the voice of God.

Psalm 29 vs 4 (NKJV) says thatthe voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty”. When God speaks, both animate and inanimate creatures obey His voice; little wonder why the winds and the waves obeyed the voice of Jesus when his disciples were at risk of being drowned at the sea (Matthew 8 vs 24 – 27). Situations and circumstances no matter how terrible, trying, troubling, traumatizing, or terminal bows to His voice. May you hear the voice of God speak to your situation and challenges in Jesus name, Amen.

“… Let there be light …” – Genesis 1 vs 3 (NKJV)

It is pertinent to note that the first thing that God said was “Let there be light”. He actually spoke Himself to be. The Bible says that “this is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all” 1 John 1 vs 5 (NKJV). God is arrayed in majestic light such that when we get to heaven, His light will be our light. The light that exudes from Him will be more than enough to lighten our life, there will be no need for the sun or moon.

For God to carry out his assignment of creation, He needed light. In light, we have clarity; things are laid bare, and a solution is birthed. But amid darkness lies stumbling, grumbling, and confusion. When the light comes, we have insight into all that was hidden from us by darkness.

To every problem, situation, or challenge there is a light. The Bible says in Matthew 4 vs 16 (NKJV) that “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death, Light has dawned”.

Light and knowledge are intertwined; little wonder why knowledge is synonymous with enlightenment, the scripture says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (light) …” Hosea 4 vs 6 (NKJV). The light saves us from falling into the unnecessary ditch of problems and sorrow. When light springs up challenges die a natural death. Your light may be information, instruction, inspiration, direction, impartation, revelation, whatever be the case may you receive your light in Jesus name, Amen.

“… and there was light” – Genesis 1 vs 3 (NKJV)

It is interesting to know that God’s word is incontestable, non-negotiable, and final. A songwriter wrote that God said it and I believed it and that settles it for me. When God has spoken, it will surely come to pass no matter the opposition or delay. None of God’s words ever falls to the ground. Always have this assurance that whatever God has spoken concerning your life will surely come to pass in Jesus name, Amen.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
